Kampala Slum Mobile Cinema Outreach
This is the 2nd Edition of a dynamic project aimed at bringing entertainment, cultural enrichment, education, awareness and cultural exchange opportunities to underserved communities in Uganda. Operating in 2 slums in Entebbe and 3 slums in Kampala, our custom-designed Mobile Cinema Van equipped with high-quality projection equipment and a sound system serves as the centerpiece for our activities. Scheduled to take place every Friday and Saturday throughout November 2024, this festival will feature open-air film screenings and engaging discussions centered on human rights themes

What We Do
We facilitate debates and discussions to empower individuals with knowledge and advocacy tools, amplifying marginalized voices and fostering a more inclusive society where rights are respected.
Open-air screenings of documentaries, fiction films, and shorts focused on human rights themes
On the festival finale, we reward filmmakers for their exceptional work in powerfully addressing human rights issues.
Presentations by experts on human rights and related themes to provide deeper insights and inspire action
A mobile library, art and board games, table tennis, and talent nurturing workshops
Facilitated discussions following each screening to encourage dialogue and reflection on the issues presented
